Job SummaryWe are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to elderly residents in a care home setting, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. You will work closely with other staff members to implement care plans and promote a nurturing environment that enhances the quality of life for our residents. Your leadership skills will be vital in supervising junior staff and fostering a collaborative team atmosphere.
Responsibilities

Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
Implement and monitor individual care plans tailored to each resident’s needs.
Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care.
Supervise junior staff members, providing guidance and support as needed.
Maintain accurate records of residents’ progress and any changes in their condition.
Drive residents to appointments or activities as required, ensuring their safety during transport.
Participate in training sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge in senior care.
Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and organisation within the care home.

Skills

Experience/Qualification in the safe Handling of medicines
NVQ level 3 in care
Experience working with older people.
Strong communication skills to interact effectively with residents and their families.
Leadership qualities to supervise and motivate team members.
Ability to develop and implement care plans tailored to individual needs.
Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to improve the lives of elderly individuals.
Demonstrate a sound knowledge of the 6 principles of care and how they should underpin delivery of care in a residential/Nursing setting.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £11.90-£13.20 per hour
Expected hours: 36 – 44 per week
