Our extended family company, Veevers Carter have an opportunity for a Floral Studio Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that our floral studio runs smoothly. Everything from managing internal communications with all departments, to ensuring each job that leaves the studio is perfection. You will use your detailed knowledge of floristry and keen organisation skills to manage and inspire the team.

You have strong communication skills. This role will support multiple stakeholders and have contact with almost everyone within the business.
You enjoy a variety of tasks and are able to prioritise your day, VC is a fast-paced environment.
You have experience within event-based floristry
You have a genuine passion for flowers and plants
You’re a solution-focused self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
You have experience managing and guiding a team
You are reliable and punctual.
You are computer literate
Day to day responsibilities:
Attending the company Operations meetings to ensure communication is kept up to date with other departments.
Line management of the Veevers Carter floristry team.
Liaising with Floral Designers to proactively solve problems and ensure that communication is consistent.
Supporting florist teams with hands-on floristry work when required.
Providing the important link between the office and the studio and ensuring that everyone is up to date on the progress of jobs.
Managing studio schedules and workload.
Quality checking all jobs.
Line Management responsibility of direct reports
Regular 1-2-1s and open dialogue, ensuring your report feels supported and has a clear understanding of their roles, responsibilities, and measures of success
Following internal people processes such as probation reviews and annual appraisals, ensuring timely responses and ensuring engagement in internal surveys.
A working knowledge of our People processes, ensuring that your direct reports know where to locate them in Trainual and that they understand to come to you with questions
Being an active and engaged member of the Line Manager community including attending Line Manager meetings and forums and keeping a close eye on the Line Manager teams channels to ensure you are informed of the latest updates from the people team and cascading messages to your reports.
Engaging in recruitment for hiring within your team, acting as the Hiring Manager where appropriate, and following our standard people processes.
Leading in onboarding new team members and collaborating with the People Team to ensure learning plans, required training, and support structures are in place.
Taking an active interest in your team’s health and wellbeing, monitoring workload, and reaching out to the People team for support where needed.
Playing an active role in managing any issues with performance or conduct.

Process & Governance
Overseeing the Health and Safety of the Warehouse and ensuring that our policies and procedures are adhered to at all times.
Proactively reporting any Health & Safety concerns to the Head of Operations.
